The Pontiac Tempest was a sedan marketed by Pontiac in the 1960s. It formed the initial basis for the Pontiac GTO. It was revived in the eighties based on the Chevrolet Corsica, but was sold only in Canada.

The Tempest itself, without the GTO package, was used in the SCCA Trans Am Series. Along with the GTO, the Tempest was used in NASCAR.
